Google Photos to take Different Look Next Year June


Google said it is intending to modify and increase the storage capacity of Google photos by adding another storage capacity to the already free 15 G storage capacity.

As a result of that it intend to change the terms and conditions effective from 1June 2021. It said some of the terms and conditions will not affect those who are already using bthe service.

Google said some of the decisions are not always taken lightly because certain things need to be considered before taken those descisions.
Google said since the launch of the service more than 4 trillion photos and videos, including yours, and a remarkable 28 billion new photos and videos are uploaded every week.

Google photos is an internet service that allows users to back up their photos and videos that can be retrieved latter when needed.
Google is a company that keep on adding new features that make life easier. They are aiming at making the internet safe for use by everybody. They keep on improving their services to make sure subscribers data is kept safe even though there are people with malicious attitude working hard to bring the company down but they keep on identifying them and with their employed expert in programming they put up their best to overcome any challenge.

A notification was sent to users which highlighted some points
‘ Starting June 1, 2021, all new photos and videos backed up in High quality will count toward the free 15 GB of storage that comes with your Google Account or any additional storage you may have purchased, the same way other Google services like Google Drive and Gmail already do.

All photos and videos you back up in High quality before June 1, 2021 are exempt from this change and will not count toward your Google Account storage. This includes all of your existing content uploaded in High quality.
We don’t take this decision lightly and we acknowledge that this is a big shift, so wanted to let you know well in advance and give you resources to help you navigate this change’
