Police statement says, Japanese national, Morikawa Hikawu has been arrested in Ghana following a request by INTERPOL Tokyo.

The police added that, the arrest followed a revocation of his passport by Japan.
The suspect was put before court and was remanded into lawful custody awaiting his removal from the country, a Police statement said on Tuesday August 2.
“The INTERPOL Unit of the Ghana Police Service is working with the , INTERPOL Tokyo and the Japanese Embassy in Ghana for his removal,” the statement said.
The police said, it will use due processes to deepen both regional and international relationship in law enforcement.
